“When the law doesn’t apply to lawmakers, you’re not being governed. You’re being ruled”

"When the law doesn’t apply to lawmakers, you’re not being governed. You’re being ruled” is a saying that has been printed on many images.

American conservative political commentator Kevin D. Williamson wrote in the National Review on March 15, 2015:

“When the law does not apply to the lawmakers and law-enforcers, you are not being governed: You are being ruled. And we are ruled by criminals.”

“When The Law Doesn’t Apply To The Lawmakers In Congress, And Local Government, We’re Not Being Governed, We’re Being Ruled” was posted on Twitter by James Anderson on March 14, 2019.  “When the law doesn’t apply to the lawmakers you’re not being governed: you’re being ruled” was posted on Twitter by Keith Washington on March 16, 2019. “WHEN THE LAW DOESN’T APPLY TO LAWMAKERS, YOU’RE NOT BEING
