“When the media is behind your movement, you aren’t the resistance” is a saying that has been printed on several images. In the United States, the media (such as television networks) are owned by just a small handful of companies.
 
“When the media is behind your movement, you are not the resistance” was posted on Twitter by Hunter Hawkins on August 29, 2020. “When the media is behind your movement, you aren’t the resistance” was posted on Facebook by Boycott Mainstream Media also on August 29, 2020. The saying probably originated on an image.

I’ve seen this posted other places but it’s worth repeating.
If the media is behind your movement, you are not the resistance.
If mega corporations are behind your movement, you are not the resistance.
If every entertainment company is behind your movement, you are not the resistance.
If corrupt politicians are behind your movement, you are not the resistance.
