“Where in this toy store are the Terminator action figures?”/“Aisle B, back.”

“I’ll be back” is a famous line from the movie The Terminator (1984), spoken by actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It shouldn’t be confused with “Aisle B, back,” but there are jokes.

“GEESH!  NOBODY watches Arnie movies here?  NOBODY came up with ‘Aisle B, back’ or any other clever little puns?” was posted on the newsgroup bit.listserv.politics on July 13, 1993. “Okay, that’s dangerously close to a bit I do where Arnold is grocery store stock boy and someone asks him where the canned peas are and he says ‘Aisle-B, back ’” was posted on the newsgroup alt.comedy.standup on July 18, 2002. “Q: Where do they keep the terminator action figures in the toy store? A: Aisle B back” was posted on Twitter by Nasira on November 25, 2013.

“Where did the Terminator find toilet paper?”/“Aisle B, back” is a version that was told during the toilet paper panic buying of the 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak. “Aisle B, back” has been printed on many images.

Okay, that’s dangerously close to a bit I do where Arnold is grocery store stock boy and someone asks him where the canned peas are and he says “Aisle-B, back.”
