“Why did the chicken cross the road?”/“To get to the other side” is a classic riddle from the 19th century. There are several versions that involve a stoner.

A: Who else would follow a chicken?” was posted on Reddit—Jokes  on April 20, 2015.   
 
“Why did the stoner cross the road? Cuz is dealer lived on the other side” was posted on Twitter by samm on March 21, 2010. “Pg. 117:
