“Why don’t communists ever learn?”/“Because there are no classes.”

German philosopher and economist Karl Marx (1818-1883), co-author with Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) of The Communist Manifesto (1848), preached a classless society. A riddle was posted to Reddit—Jokes on January 4, 2017:

Q: Why don’t communists ever learn?
A: Because there are no classes.

Similar jokes had been made before. “Students interested in eternal spring break should consider Karl Marx university because there are no classes there” was posted on Twitter on March 28, 2016.
