“While I was running today, I heard someone clapping. It was my thighs cheering me on”

“While I was running today, I heard someone clapping. Then I realized it was just my thighs cheering me on” is a jocular running saying that has been printed on many images. The saying became popular in May 2012 and probably originated with this ecard.
