“Worries go down better with ice cream”

“Worries go down better with soup than without” is a saying that has been printed on many images. The saying is frequently shortened to “Worries go down better with soup.”
 
Authorship is unknown, but the quotation is often credited as a Yiddish proverb. “Worries go down better with soup than without” was included in the book Yiddish Proverbs (1949) by Hanan J. Ayalti.

Minestrone #soup before, during & after. Comforting bowls of soup are being cooked up by the Gr.5/6 chefs. When asked what the proverb “Worries go down better with soup” means: “Good soup makes me feel less stressed out.” “Soup warms me up and fills my tummy with joy.” True.
