“Worries go down better with soup than without”

"Worries go down better with soup than without” is a saying that has been printed on many images. The saying is frequently shortened to “Worries go down better with soup.”

Authorship is unknown, but the quotation is often credited as a Yiddish proverb. “Worries go down better with soup than without” was included in the book Yiddish Proverbs (1949) by Hanan J. Ayalti.
