Worst Lady (worst + first lady)

The first lady of the United States is married to a male president, a first lady of a state is married to the governor and a first lady of a city is married to the mayor. A distinguished woman in a certain field can be a first lady, such as a “first lady of the theatre” or “first lady of ballet.”

A derogatory nickname for a first lady is “worst lady.” “It isn’t ‘the first lady of magic’, it’s ‘the worst lady of magic’” was cited in 1994. “I once drew fire for calling Helen Hayes The Worst Lady of the American Theatre” was cited in 1996. “She’s the Worst Lady for Most Upstaters” was said about Hillary Rodham Clinton in 1999.

The “worst”-for-“first” switch has also been using in banking, where First Boston Corporation was nicknamed “Worst Boston.”

Wikipedia: First Lady
First Lady is an unofficial title used for the wife of a head of state, most notably the wife of the President of the United States. Collectively, the president and spouse are known as the First Couple. If they have a family, they are usually referred to as the First Family.

The term is sometimes used, particularly in the U.S., to refer to the spouse of other heads of state, even if they do not have that style in their own country. Some other countries have a title, formal or informal, that is or can be translated as first lady. The title is not normally used for the wife of a prime minister or other head of government who is not also head of state.

Wikipedia: First Lady of the United States
The First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) is the hostess of the White House, advisor to the President, and often plays a role in social activism. The position is traditionally held by the wife of the President of the United States, concurrent with his term of office. If the President is not married, or if the President’s wife is unable to act as First Lady, then the President asks a female relative or friend to fill the role.

The Republican “Pat For First Lady” drive may take some states, but in Florida it’s a tidal sweep for “Donna For Worst Lady.”

You misspelled a word there.  It isn’t “the first lady of magic”, it’s “the worst lady of magic”.  There must be better female magicians out there.

Worst Lady?
The wife of Warren Harding may have been the First Lady of deceit.

By DAVID NASAW
The blue-eyed, gray-haired, over-rouged, bespectacled First Lady with the black velvet neckband looked to all the world like the small-town Ohio matron she professed to be. Smart, ambitious, proper and prudish, Florence Kling Harding was the perfect partner for Warren G. Harding, the President who promised to return the nation to ‘‘normalcy’’ after the Great War. Or so it appeared. The real Florence Kling Harding story, as told by Carl Sferrazza Anthony in his biography, reads like the screenplay of a David Lynch film, with layer upon layer of suspicion, deception and deceit.
