“You are not experiencing high call volume. You are experiencing low customer service staffing”

You’re not ‘experiencing high call volumes’. You’ve understaffed your contact centre.

It’s time to change your recording - “we’re understaffed” is more appropriate.

Rant: You are not experiencing high call volume when every time I call, you say there’s high call volume.
It’s called regular volume, and if it goes up around the certain times of the year, then it’s expected and you hire more people to take those calls. That’s what literally every retail store in existence does around the holidays. Don’t email me about your new board of diversity specialists when you can’t even get your call wait times under 4 hours. Then they call you during the most inopportune time when you can’t answer, only to start the process over again. Is anyone else fed up with this?
