“You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning”

“You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many gift items, such as poster, T-shirts and mugs. The saying has been cited in print since at least 2001 and is of unknown authorship, although a few websites credit Tex Gellette.
