“You’re not a firework. Don’t drive lit” is a safe driving slogan that has been printed on many images. The saying is popular around July 4th (when fireworks are popular).  “Lit” means under the influence.

“You’re not a firework. Don’t drive lit,” read an electronic sign spotted by local resident Michael Meitz above Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia.
