"Southworst” is a derogatory term for “southwest.” Southwest Airlines (based in Dallas) was nicknamed “Southworst” by at least 1991. The former Southwest Conference (SWC) was nicknamed “Southworst” by at least 1986.
“Southwaste” has been used as well as “Southworst” for “Southwest.” “Southwaste Airlines” was posted on the newsgroup rec.travel.air on March 30, 1996.

The Southwest Conference (SWC) was a college athletic conference in the United States that became defunct in May of 1996. It consisted of schools in the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
Established in 1914, its charter members were the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Baylor University, the University of Arkansas, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma A&M University (currently Oklahoma State), Southwestern University (in Georgetown, Texas), and Rice University.

Thank you to everyone who replied to my messages regarding my luggage problems with Southwest. Sorry I couldn’t reply personally to every one, I have just been exceptionally busy.
I was overwhelmed with messages from people who were shocked at my treatment, as they have always found Southwest to be good to people who termed them “SouthWorst”...need I say more.
