The state is loaded for bear when it comes to economic development, thanks to the efforts of hardworking Texans and a variety of tools such as the TexasOne marketing campaign, the Texas Enterprise Fund and the Texas Emerging Technology Fund.
 
Those were the words of Aaron Demerson, executive director for the Office of the Governor-Economic Development and Tourism Division, at the 20th Annual North Texas Economic Forum and Wichitan of the Year luncheon, where native son Tommy McCulloch was honored as the recipient of the award.
