“Keep calm and gobble on”

“Keep Calm and Carry On” is a famous British World War II poster. “Keep calm and gobble on” is a Thanksgiving saying that has been printed on many images.

“Today I couldn’t stop myself. Halloween’s not here yet but I needed a little Thanksgiving cheer!  So I gathered some leaves from my gutter, lashed them to my Dollar-Store hurricane (Pottery Barn-style!), and created a Thanksgiving version of the ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ poster!” was posted on Craftily Ever After on October 27, 2010. A “KEEP CALM AND GOBBLE ON” poster is shown. “Keep Calm and Gobble On free printable http://craftily-ever-after.blogspot.com/2010/10/thanksgiving-version-of-keep-calm-and.html” was posted on Twitter by modernjune on October 31, 2010.

Wikipedia: Keep Calm and Carry On
Keep Calm and Carry On was a motivational poster produced by the British government in 1939 in preparation for the Second World War. The poster was intended to raise the morale of the British public, threatened with widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities. Although 2.45 million copies were printed, and although the Blitz did in fact take place, the poster was hardly ever publicly displayed and was little known until a copy was rediscovered in 2000 at Barter Books, a bookshop in Alnwick. It has since been re-issued by a number of private companies, and has been used as the decorative theme for a range of products.

Thanksgiving Version of ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ Printable
I get so excited about decorating for the holidays that before they even arrive I’m already itching to take down what’s current and decorate for the next one. Today I couldn’t stop myself. Halloween’s not here yet but I needed a little Thanksgiving cheer!  So I gathered some leaves from my gutter, lashed them to my Dollar-Store hurricane (Pottery Barn-style!), and created a Thanksgiving version of the ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ poster!

Love this Thanksgiving twist on the traditional “Keep Calm and Carry On” posters rephrased by Jessica’s hubs at Craftily Ever After. “Keep Calm and Cranberry On,” “Keep Calm and Gobble On,” and “Gather Here With Grateful Hearts,” oh yes. Frame all three for your buffet table.)
