There’s a difference between making curry “of” a lamb and making curry “for” a lamb. “I made a lamb curry today, but it preferred grass” was posted on Twitter by Paul Poulton on January 8, 2015. “I made a lamb curry last night. But the ungrateful little shit didn’t touch it and just carried on munching grass” was posted on Twitter by Gus Duffy on June 9, 2019.
“Last night I made a lamb curry, but apparently they prefer grass” was posted on Twitter by English stand-up comedian Gary Delaney on March 15, 2021. This version of the joke became frequently retweeted.
