Republicans have often claimed that the Democrat Party is the political party of illegal immigration. One joke is that they’re no longer called “illegal aliens,” but are now called “undocumented Democrats.”
The term “undocumented Democrats” was a tagline in 2005 and was used several times in 2006. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh used the term in 2010 and comedian Jay Leno joked about it in 2013, but neither coined the term.
“Anchor Democrat” is a similar term.

Illegal Imigration; The Quiz
As the debate on illegal immigration heats, this Pop Quiz will help measure ones “liberalism quotient"---the opposite of intelligence--- on this vital issue:
1. Illegal immigration is:
( ) Desperately needed by liberals in order to win elections
( ) A misnomer...they are actually undocumented Democrats!
( ) Mexico’s chief export
( ) NOT a threat to U.S. homeland security. Why would Mexican peasants destroy the land of free gravy and tacos?

First things first: Fix Mexico
by Jonah Goldberg
So here’s the funny part. As my colleague Rich Lowry has noted, liberals and Democrats tend to oppose free trade agreements, most recently the Central America Free Trade Agreement, on the grounds that they “export American jobs” to underpaid Latin American workers. But the same people generally favor importing underpaid Latin American workers into the United States to take many of the same jobs. One hand giveth, the other taketh away. The cynicism in all of this is fairly breathtaking. It seems that what many liberals prefer is not preserving American jobs or bringing more undocumented workers, but importing undocumented Democrats.

Illegal Aliens or “Undocumented Democrats”?
By John Lillpop
Those who argue on behalf of illegal aliens and their “rights” often play word games in appealing to the pride of real Americans.

Illegal Aliens Cause Global Warming?

Illegal Aliens Cause Global Warming!
by John Lillpop February 16th, 2008. Filed under: Invasion.
Senor~ Bush has received plenty of help in making America a safe haven for invading Latinos. That help has been forthcoming from liberals who see illegal aliens as “undocumented Democrats,” and from RINOs always looking to scare up a bountiful supply of slave labor for big business.

After yesterday’s decision by the Department of Homeland Security to strip Sheriff Arpaio of immigration authority, it does not take a genius to figure out why:

The Truth About ‘Undocumented Democrats’

Despite the rhetoric coming from the left, there IS a difference between legal and illegal immigration.
Illegals: Undocumented Democrats
July 01, 2010
RUSH: Mike in St. Louis, you are on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hi.
CALLER: Rush, you’ve mentioned many times that if the illegal aliens were Republican voters, they’d be out of the country by now.
CALLER: And, you know, as you always say, words have meaning, so that’s led me to start thinking of these illegal aliens as illegal Democrats.
RUSH: Works for me. Your memory is right.
Undocumented Democrat is another term for illegal alien or illegal immigrant. The term was derived from the term undocumented worker which is commonly used by the left or the media to sound less criminal. These people are presumed democrats or future democrats since the left generally uses government cheese to support or enable moochers and parasites in return for votes.
Undocumented worker? what kinda bullshit p.c. term is that? They’re fucking illegal aliens, ya know criminals?” “Undocumented Democrat would be more appropriate, sheesh.

Jay Leno: Call them “undocumented Democrats”
The “Tonight Show” host cribs a joke that brought the house down at CPAC to needle the AP
Playing off the announcement from the Associated Press Tuesday that it will no longer use the term “illegal immigrant,” “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno made a joke sure to please many conservatives, suggesting the AP should call people who immigrated to this country illegally “undocumented Democrats”:
“And in a groundbreaking move, the Associated Press, the largest news gathering outlet in the world, will no longer use the term ‘illegal immigrant.’ That is out. No longer ‘illegal immigrant.’ They will now use the phrase ‘undocumented Democrat.’ That is the newest — ‘undocumented Democrat.’”
Rush Limbaugh: Jay Leno stole the “undocumented Democrat” joke from me!

El Rushbo is peeved that Jay Leno is getting so much conservative pub for using a term that he coined in July 2010…
“I just wanted to go back and document that we’ve been using the term, coming up on 3 years…”
I’ve Been Properly Credited for Coining the Term “Undocumented Democrats”
December 22, 2015
RUSH: The Weekly Standard has a piece in it that, very, very rarely has this ever happened to me. In fact, I can’t ever remember it happening. I’m sure it has, ‘cause it’s been 27 years I’ve been doing this. The headline of this—and it’s not a hit piece. It’s not a criticism. The headline’s gonna mislead you. The headline is: “No, Ted Cruz Did Not Invent the Term ‘Undocumented Democrat.’”
Apparently Senator Cruz has been running around, after this spat with Marco Rubio on immigration and amnesty and legalization, Cruz has been using the term “undocumented Democrat” instead of “illegal alien” as a means of demonstrating what the Democrats’ interest in this whole thing is. So, now that you know that, here’s the Weekly Standard story.
