“There would be no game of chess if the pawns refused to play”

“There would be no game of chess if the pawns refused to play” is a saying that has been printed on many images. The saying is political, and means that the elites can’t play (operate) if the lower classes all refuse to play.

“There would be no game of chess, if the pawns refused to play” was posted on Twitter by sheikhFortunecookie on March 4, 2014. “There would be no game of Chess if the Pawns refused to play…” (shown on an image by “An Uncloudy Day”) was posted on Facebook by Bernard Alvarez on March 6, 2014, and on Facebook by An Uncloudy Day on May 21, 2014. The saying probably originated with this image.

There would be no game of chess if the pawns refused to play
It’s worrying how many people are so simple-minded that they actually swallow the right-wing propaganda that people like immigrants and the unemployed are to blame for societies woes, rather than the wealthy establishment class who are actually running the country.
