"That moment when the music you listened to in high school is being played on the ‘oldies’ station” is a saying that has been printed on many images. This saying originated from one of these images and was posted on Twitter by StyleBlueprint on February 20, 2014.

There are many other forms of the saying. “You know you’re getting old when......(...) when the music on the ‘oldies’ station is *your* music” was posted on the newsgroup alt.cuddle on April 19, 1997. “You know you are old when songs from your favorite high school album are being played on the oldies station” was posted on Twitter by Sean Burgess on May 14, 2008. “I’m ‘The music on the oldies station came out when I was in high school’ years old” was posted on Twitter by Sarah Beam on September 26, 2019.
