“Condoms prevent minivans”—that is, condoms prevent children that would necessitate a larger vehicle—is a jocular saying that has been printed on many images (especially bumper stickers). “Words to live by: condoms prevent minivans” was posted on Twitter by A Totally Different Charles on June 25, 2008.
The saying originated from a mother and was popularized when it was put on a bottle cap of products from the Magic Hat Brewing Company of South Burlington, Vermont.

Above, a 1934 plaque from the Big Apple Night Club at West 135th Street and Seventh Avenue in Harlem. Discarded as trash in 2006. Now a Popeyes fast food restaurant on Google Maps.
