Drinksicle (drink + popsicle)

A “drinksicle” (drink + popsicle) is any drink—alcoholic or non-alcoholic—frozen into a popsicle. “Drink-sicle” was cited in print in 1959, when it referred to a popsicle of reconstituted frozen orange drink. A “Drinksicle” containing optional alcohol was cited in 1985.
TGI Fridays offered “Drinksicle Rita” and “Drinksicle Tea” in August 2016—alcoholic drinks with popsicles floating in them.
“Poptail” (popsicle + cocktail) is a similar term.
15 March 1959, The American-Statesman (Austin, TX), pg. C-17, col. 2:
Make Drink-Sicles
When young cowboys and girls romp through your house, they’ll consider it a great treat to be offered orange drink-sicles for their afternoon snack. Simply pour reconstituted frozen orange drink into popsicles trays or your divided ice cube trays. Pop toothpick handles into each one, when frozen to a mush consistency. Continue freezing until solid. You can remove as many as you need; then wrap and return the rest to the freezer for another thirsty day.

They include Oreo Delight, Strawberry Fields, the Drinksicle, and Almond Joy, which Kravetz says tastes just like the candy bar. In each case, alcohol is optional.
July 2004, Marie Claire, “10 best to do,” pg. 42:
4 WARNING: This is not your childhood Popsicle (but it is the best party invention since the Jell-O shot). Drinksicle ($20) includes the molds and tropical mix flavors-you just add alcohol. Available at department stores.

Typical solution: Make your popsicles very weak in sugar, or alcohol, or both. This is clearly an unacceptable solution. Remember, because you are freezing your mix, the flavors need to be bold, not weak. Lowering the sugar (unless you are making a dry martini-sicle) isn’t the way to go. Even if you use no sugar at all, a good stiff martini clocking in at 20% alcohol just won’t freeze well. Your question, as stated, is: how do we make a stiff drink-sicle?
