Freadom (freedom + read)

“Freadom” (freedom + read) is a word that has been printed on many gift items, such as posters, T-shirts and bumper stickers. The American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) holds an annual “Banned Books Week” to bring attention to the fact that some reading has been censored. The “freadom” slogan has been associated with Banned Books Week since 2003.
A similarly formed word is “fweedom” (freedom + weed).
Wikipedia: American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression
Founded in 1990 by the American Booksellers Association, the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and promote free speech in the USA. ABFFE advises individuals who oppose book challenges and bans on both a national level and in local communities across the country. ABFFE provides resources and education on the importance of free expression to booksellers, politicians, the press and the public, including a Free Speech Training Guide and Film as well as model statements and talking points for booksellers on controversial issues.
Each year ABFFE sponsors Banned Books Week, the only national celebration of the right to read, in conjunction with the American Booksellers Association, the Association of American Publishers, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the National Association of College Stores, and the American Library Association.
19 September 2004, Courier-Journal (Louisville, KY), “Banned Books Week” by Paula Burba, Arts, pg. F1:

To celebrate the freedom to read, I’m participating in the Banned Books Week Giveaway hop. There are so many books that have been banned or challenged! I was amazed at how long the lists were, and if you’re interested, you can check out The American Library Association for more info.
