“Hallmark implies the existence of Hallmatthew, Hallluke and Halljohn”

Hallmark Cards is the oldest and largest manufacturer of greeting cards in the United States. Hallmark has nothing to do with the Gospel of Mark (one of four New Testament gospels, along with Matthew, Luke and John), but there are jokes.

Similar jokes include “Checkmarks imply the existence of checkmatthews, checklukes and checkjohns” and “Primark implies the existence of Primatthew, Priluke and Prijohn.”

I saw a post about harmless lies parents tell kids and someone wrote about how their mom said their dad helped name #Hallmark but the original name was Hallmatthew. That sounds like something my dad would have done! 😂
