“Happetite” (happy + appetite) is a portmanteau word that has been used for online screen names and for business names. A person who loves barbecue and goes to one has a “happetite,” satisfying cravings.
The book Find Your Happetite: Eat what you want and be happy with your (perfect) weight (2011) by Sue Zbornik helped popularize the term. “Happetite This word explains the sensational feeling of being hungry and you re so excited to eat” was entered in the Urban Dictionary on October 23, 2019. “When you combine the words Happy and Appetite, you get HAPPETITE. A Happetite is a desire for a meal that makes you happy” was posted on Twitter by Golden Penny Swallow on July 29, 2020.
