“Honk if you love peace and quiet” (bumper sticker)

“Honk if you love peace and quiet” is a jocular bumper sticker saying. The saying was cited in a 1993 Indiana newspaper.

3 March 1993, Columbia County Chronicle (Augusta, GA), “This bumper sticker was printed before my child’s grades fell” by Glynn Moore, pg. 2, col. 5:
Another shortcoming to the stickers is that the offer other motorists no way to respond: If you get behind a car whose bumper sticker says, “Honk if you love peace and quiet,” you have the option of letting that driver know how you feel. But how are you supposed to respond to an honor-roll sticker?
