A joke has a person enter a clock store (or a battery store):
 
Customer: I need a battery so I can tell the time.
Employee: Is it for a clock?
Customer: I don’t know! That’s why I need a battery!
 
The joke is that “Is it for a clock?” is taken by the customer to mean “Is it four o’clock?” The joke was posted on Reddit—Jokes on January 24, 2021.

I walked into Battery World and asked for a specific battery.
The guy said “Is it for a clock?”
I said “I don’t know, that’s why I need a battery!!”
