“If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson” is a pro-gun saying that has been printed on many images.
 
“Do guns cause murder? Do matches cause arson?” was printed in the The Desert Sun (Palm Springs, CA) on March 23, 1993. “If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson” was posted on the newsgroup rec.music.makers.guitar on September 11, 1993. “There’s another bumper sticker that says ‘If guns cause crime, matches cause arson’” was printed in the Ottawa (ON) Citizen on April 2, 1994.
