Jabby Dodger or Jabbydodger (vaccination jab + dodger)

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic resulted in vaccinations, called “jabs.” Those who refused the jabs were sometimes called “jabby dodgers” or jabbydodgers.” The term became popular in the UK, where Jammie Dodgers are a popular British biscuit.

“Jabby dodgers would be better” was posted on Twitter by Ross Elliott on November 7, 2020. “What do we do about the Jabby Dodgers though?” was posted on Twitter by Nate.GG on January 17, 2021. “Somebody have a word with the #jabbydodgers so we can get back to normal” was posted on Twitter by Real Ale Finder App on February 4, 2021. “Every village has got one #jabbydodger” was posted on Twitter by Peter on February 24, 2021. “Just seen someone describe anti vaxxers as jabby dodgers and honestly I think it’s a game changer. #COVID19 #vaccine #antivaxxers #jabbydodgers” was posted on Twitter by Joanne on March 28, 2021.

That’s a great one! Happy to be a jabby dodger!
The one I can’t stand is ‘vaccine hesitant’, like they’re doing me a favour by calling me hesitant, ‘Oh she’s not really bad, just a little hesitant, just a little scared, just a little unsure.’
NO, I’m really bad, I’m refusing!
