Past Tense Media

“Past tense media” is an unflattering nickname for the mainstream media (MSM) (such as newspapers and magazines) that are often late to news stories, reporting on them days or weeks after discussions first appeared on blogs. The blog Ace of Spades HQ used the term “The Past-Tense Media” on September 11, 2009 to refer to the MSM’s late reporting of scandals involving the ACORN organization. “Past tense media” (usually without the hyphen) was picked up by other blogs.
Similar terms to “past tense media” include “antique media,” “deadstream media,” “dead tree media,” “dinosaur media,” “fringe media,” “lamestream media,” “legacy media” and “vintage media.”
Wikipedia: Ace of Spades HQ
Ace of Spades HQ, Ace of Spades, or AoS is a conservative and humor-driven U.S.-based Political Blog, which has been famously described by Washington Times editorial page editor Tony Blankley as a “very smart military blog”, but in fact covers current events, legal issues, and salacious topics in popular culture along with military hardware and the activities of the U.S. and allied armed forces. Created in 2003, Ace of Spades has had over 34 million hits as of Nov 17, 2008.

Amazing. The Past Tense Media gets one thing right. Is this a trend, or a broken watch being accurate twice a day?

The PTM (Past Tense Media) can call us any damn thing they please, but Tea Parties will still turn out to protest Obama’s failed policies.
