Texas Roadkill (Texas Roadhouse nickname)

Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. The restaurant has been nicknamed “Texas Roadkill” since at least 1997. Texas Roadhouse actually has a dish called “Road Kill—10 ounce chopped steak with onions, mushrooms and jack cheese.”
Another nickname of Texas Roadhouse is “Texas Outhouse.”

It’s a chain, my parents have one near them in California. There’s one in the next town over. We call it “Texas Roadkill” instead of “Texas Roadhouse”.😊

We called it Texas Roadkill, but only because my FIL mistakenly called it that once and we thought it was hilarious…....so it became our name for it.
