“They say a woman’s work is never done. Maybe that’s why they get paid less”

“Man works from sun to sun, but woman’s work is never done” is a popular saying from the 19th century. A jocular, male-oriented twist on the saying is:

“They say a woman’s work is never done. Maybe that’s why they get paid less.”

“You forget, ‘A man may work from sun to sun, but a women’s work is never done’. That is why women get paid less! they never finish their work” was posted on the newsgroup soc.men on May 10, 2000. English comedian and actor Sean Lock has used the joke since at least 2004.

The saying has been printed on several images.
