“Diner: Waiter, I’m in a hurry! Will the pancakes be long? Waiter: No, they’ll be round.”

A joke about ordering pancakes in a restaurant is:

Diner: Waiter, I’m in a hurry! Will the pancakes be long?
Waiter: No, they’ll be round.

The joke was printed in many newspapers in June 1963.

“Diner: Waiter, will my pizza be long? Waiter: No, sir, it will be round” and “Diner: How long will my spaghetti be? Waiter: I don’t know. We never measure it” are similar jokes. “How long will the next bus be?”/“Same length as this one” is a related joke.

When I eat pancakes
..........I always usurp.~~~
I love syrup, but I use berry little of it.~~~
Maple you should use more. If you don’t use enough, they taste flat.
~~~~~
I can eat all the pancakes I want, as long as I use my 18-hour griddle.
~~~~I went out for breakfast the other day. It seemed like it was taking

forever to get served, so I said, “Oh, waiter! Will those pancakes be
long?” He replied: “No, sir; round, as usual.” ~~~~
